Nursery Policies
We are ready to welcome your child into our nursery!
Please read over the following policies to help you prepare for your first Sunday with us.
Age
Volunteers will be ready to receive your child at 8-week of age.
What to Bring
Please make sure that you bring everything that is needed to provide care for your child. This includes bottles or food that they may need during the time in our care, diapers and wipes, bibs and blankets. Please make sure that your diaper bag is clearly labeled with the child's name and items such as cups and bottles are also labeled.
Parent/Child Information
Please make sure that on your first visit you fill out a child information form. This will help us know more about your child such as allergies and comfort techniques as well as information about how to reach a parent in the event that we need to contact you.
Volunteer Policies
All volunteers must have a completed background check before working in the nursery. There will be a minimum of two workers in each room to provide care for your child. At times, nursery classes may be combined so that we can stay within ratio.
What if my child cries?
We know that separating from a parent of caregiver can be difficult at times. Our volunteers will work to calm and soothe all children who are upset but there are times when we will need to contact a parent if a child is unable to be soothed. Please make sure that you have a cell phone close by in the event that we need to contact you.
Sick Policy
Please do not bring your child to the nursery if they are experiencing a fever or cold symptoms. We want to keep all volunteers and other children in the nursery healthy.
